Saints’ T-20 Cricket Tournament
(UIT lift Saints’ T-20 Cricket Trophy)
In
the final match of Inter College Cricket Tournament played today at All Saints’
ground UIT were the final winners.
UIT
won the toss and opted for fielding. All Saints’ batting first set a target of
152 runs. This was possible because of very sound opnening partnership of 102
runs between Adish and Anand. Adish scored 79 while Anand had 17 runs to his
credit. Usman with 20 runs and Samad 11 runs made valuable contribution. Manik
Talwar captain UIT took 3 wickets while Piyush had 2 wickets to his credit. In
return UIT scored 153 runs by loosing just 4 wickets and won the match by 6
wickets . Piyush of UIT made a swash buckling knock of 52 runs in just 19 balls
and took the match away from All Saints’ single handed. Bhavesh made a valuable
contribution of 47 runs. Usman and Anand took 2 wickets each. Piyush was
declared of Man of the Match
