Sports News - T-20 Cricket Tournament, Bhopal
In
the Inter College Cricket Tournament being played at All Saints’ ground two
Semi Final matches were played today. In
the first match All Saints’ defeated NRI
by 9 wickets and second match UIT defeated BANSAL by 8 wickets. In the first
match NRI team batting first could scoreonly 66 runs against very tight bowling
and fielding by All Saints’ team. Karan
and Rohit scored19 runs each for NRI.
Samad, Usman, Anand and Adeesh took 2 wickets each. All Saints’ reached the
target with ease and were able to score the desire runs in only 9.3 overs by
just loosing 1 wicket. Anand scored 38 runs while Zeeshan made 21 runs. Anand was
declared Player of the Match.
In
the second match BANSAL batting first scored a decent total 123 runs which
included 55 runs by Gaurav and 13 runs by Kripanshu . Himanshu and Piyush of
UIT took 3 wickets each. In reply to 123
runs scored by Bansal, UIT reached the desire total by just loosing 2 wickets.
Piyush of UIT played one of the best innings of the tournament till date by
hitting 3 sixes and 12 fours. In his innings of 76 runs. Bhavesh also made valuable contribution of 30 runs. Piyush was declared Player of the Match.
On
this occasion Chief Guest Mr. Aziz Uddin
Director Raj Multiplex handed over the trophies to the players of the
match.The highlights of the match today was
excellent commentry of the matches played, by Anwar Usmani. On this occasion Smt. Kaiser Zaman chairperson Kurwai
Education Society, A.H. Saify Principal, Dr. Ahmed Ali Khan Dean Academics and
G.K. Bammi Head Training & Placement were present.
