Mahindra 2 Wheelers’ YTD sales stand at 50,567 units
Company’s full range of scooters with new, advanced Z-Series engine,now available nationally
Mumbai, September 2012:
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), a part of the USD 15.4 billion Mahindra
Group, continued to build its presence in the two wheeler segment.
The company’s cumulative scooter sales from April to August 2012 stood at 50,567 units. Sales in August 2012 were 10,028 units. The cumulative sales for the company have crossed the landmark figure of four lakh units.
With the establishment of its new state-of-the-art R&D centre in Pune, Mahindra Two Wheelers has significantly enhanced its technological capabilities to enable it to introduce high performance two wheelers. For its scooter range, the R&D centre developed the unique Z-series engine, with advanced DCDI technology, that delivers the power of a 125 cc engine whilst offering great on-road mileage. The Z-Series engine has been incorporated in both of the company’s new products, the Rodeo RZ and the Duro DZ. These two recently launched products have received rave reviews from leading auto experts across the country.
