Mumbai,
6 August 2013: They say the future of any country rests on the able
shoulders of its youth. This Independence Day, High Street Phoenix, Mumbai’s popular destination centre, will host
the students of Jai Hind College, and
the children of Akanksha Foundation for
a noteworthy performance to mark the
66th Independence Day of
India. Highlighting the undying urge for freedom, the performance will echo
with the spirit of 15th
August, as we gather at the Courtyard, 5 pm onwards.
Jai Hind College’s Talaash intends to kick-start the campaign dedicated to a search
for FREEDOM with the National Anthem sung by kids from Akanksha Foundation who will
be dressed in orange, white and green, positioned in the formation of the
Indian flag.
The students of Jai Hind College will then
move on to depict their experiences of rampant inequality in the spheres of,
namely, Women v/s Men, Ragging and Religion. Depicted in a dance performance
and narrated by a freedom fighter, this dance-drama act is bound to leave you
with a gripping image of our country’s future.
One can visit the mall to share the
spirit of patriotism during a flag hoisting earlier in the day.
~Let’s shop for some thoughts and
return with a patriotic heart this Independence Day~
